Our Fin-a-thon was a huge success.  Our fin-a-thoners ranged from 4 years old to 60.  We had one swimmer who did the back stroke for nearly 3 hours covering nearly 2 miles in the water.  Two other divers spent the full three hours on scuba on the bottom of the pool (basically watching the swimmers go by).  Our mascot “Bruce” who greets everyone in our shop was the driving force behind the whole event :)

But the best part is that as of right now, with a couple of pledge sheets still to come we have raised $1,950 for Project AWARE….and….one of our divers who couldn’t be at the event, has pledged $300 from every house sale commissions he makes (he is a Remax dealer) between now and June 1 if they mention the event to him.  Let’s hope he has a great couple of months!

Our unique event caught the attention of the local press! Check out the article -

Thanks to all the participants for their amazing effort to take part and fundraise to benefit Project AWARE.
