Another turtle release on the Gili Islands

The day started with sunsine. It was a perfect day to release some of the Olive Ridley Sea Turtles. But just before the release should started rain came as a waterfall from above. We descided to wait for another hour and see what the weather was. And luckely it became nice again.

Oceans 5 dive resort releaed yesterday another 20 Olive Ridley Turtles. The average size of the turtles was 23 cm. They stayed 6 months at Oceans 5 and they grow in 6 months 16 cm.

There are still 8 Olive ridley turtles at Oceans 5 dive resort. These ones were to small for release. In a few weeks it will be their turn.

The 200 little baby turtles are growing fast. Every day Oceans 5 is feeding all the turtles twice and getting the Turtles new sea water. Oceans 5 like to thank Simone, Nun, Rizal , Bahry and Majid for their good care of the Turtles.

For the release turtles, save travels little ones........!
