My Summary

Diving, for me, is a passion. I love everything about it!

I began diving with my wife, Loree, in 1997. Since that time my entire family has joined the underwater world. I have three children and a son-in-law, one grandchild as well as one on the way. It is an excellent family activity.. we have dove the world, from Fiji to the Caribbean and have loved every minute. In 2007 I became a PADI Instructor. Since that time I have been employed by Bluewater Divers in Oklahoma City. I love helping people discover the last great frontier.

I graduated from dental school in 1989 and have been practicing in Shawnee ever since. Shawnee is my hometown and I'm heavily involved in many activities. I have often been seen on stage at Shawnee Little Theatre performing roles in many plays, from Fiddler on the Roof to Jekyll and Hyde and many in between. I serve as a Deacon at First Baptist Church and spent many years on the local School Board. I enjoyed many years of coaching my children in baseball, basketball and football. As of now I split the world into dentistry/diving. Hopefully one day, I will be known on the island as the scuba instructor who used to be a dentist.

It is extremely important to protect the aquatic world that we are fortunate to enjoy as a diving playground. I try to teach responsible diving activities whether indirectly through all the classes or directly through the Project AWARE Specialty course. We have a responsiblity to make changes in the way that we manage the oceans' resources. This can be accomplished by getting involved through legislation on a global level.  We need to be the ambassadors to protect the things we love.
