- My Summary
Leo has been working as a Professional Diver for 16 years in the Diving Industry, and he is highly motivated PADI Course Director, with exposure to a wide variety of diving conditions gained across a number of locations like Brazil, Bahamas, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Portugal, Netherlands, Malaysia and Cape Verde Islands.
He is also a 100% Project AWARE Instructor, supporting, coordinating, promoting and organizing Environmental Protection actions such as Beach Clean Ups and Dive Against Debris Events (2008,2009,2010,2013, 2014 and 2017).
Leo is able to teach in English, Spanish and Portuguese languages, with a natural aptitude in establishing positive students mentoring relationships. He’s got a very flexible style and student/customer orientated approach.
His passion for the aquatic environment started really early with freediving/snorkeling and practicing watersports (ex. Surfing, freediving, body surfing and swimming) since early age (around 6 to 7 years old) in hometown – Cabo Frio – Rio de Janeiro – Brasil.
In 2000, he’s got completely caught by the "virus of Diving Life Style" and decided to move forward doing whenever possible all SCUBA diving courses in order to LIVE the Diving lifestyle around the world. It wasn't an "easy decision" but he did it andleft that "busy Metropolis life" in Rio de Janeiro behind in 2002.
Leo completed (among many other PADI Specialties) his Divemaster course in 2001, PADI IDC / I.E. in 2002, MSDT Instructor in 2005, IDC Staff in 2007, PADI Course Director (# 184808) in March 2015 Thus, working within the DIVING Industry has been his EXCLUSIVE way of living since 2001 and he has no plans to stop moving forward !
