The Team at Aqua Wild Africa are dedicated to conserving our oceans and bringing awareness to the issues our Oceans currently face.
Instead of sitting idly by while tons of rubbish get swept down river onto our beaches and into our oceans we have decided to do a Beach Clean-up. On the 18th of May we will be meeting at the Beachwood Mangrove Nature reserve at 09:30 for our first beach clean-up as AWA. As we will be holding this as a Project Aware Beach Clean-up we are encouraging everyone that attends to make a contribution towards Project Aware(From as little as R5) on the day.
It will be a fun filled day with teams competing against each other to collect the most amount of rubbish. Small prizes will be handed out at the end of the day to the team that collected the most rubbish! Participants will also be able to take a walk through the Mangrove forest on the day as well as have a braai or picnic after the clean up as there are facilities available at the Nature reserve. So bring along your family and friends and make a fun day out of it!
We would like to encourage the upper highway community, schools, shops and radio stations to join in on the day and help us make a difference on the Durban beach and to our oceans.
