#ChargeToTheCircle, an eco-adventure from the UK to the Arctic circle promoting sustainability and ocean conservation, is marking the start of an epic journey by joining Project AWARE® and PADI® staff in a harbor cleanup hosted by Bristol City Council and the Bristol Harbour Authority on July 15, 2018.
PADI Ambassadiver, Manu Bustelo, joined by a team of passionate adventurers and ocean lovers, will roll up his sleeves to pick up litter in the iconic Bristol harbor, before hitting the road with Electric Vehicles (EV) for a two-week-long adventure through the UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, and Norway. His goal: to raise awareness of the impact we, as humans, have on the planet using sustainable travel and adventure.
PADI EMEA staff, the Project AWARE team, and volunteers taking part in the monthly #CleanupHarbourBristol event will join the EV superheroes to help stop the Ugly Journey of Our Trash from land to sea.
I'm honored to welcome the #ChargeToTheCircle team in Bristol to kick off their adventures and excited that they've chosen Project AWARE as one of the many ocean conservation organizations they will meet along their route.
"We want to meet with ocean conservation groups and businesses to discuss how, through sustainability and best practices, we can prevent plastic pollution from entering the ocean in the first place. What better way to kick off our #ChargeToTheCircle adventures than meeting with the lovely Project AWARE team", comments Manu Bustelo.
Together, we'll join one of the monthly gatherings of volunteers going around the harbor to pick up litter and prevent it from traveling down the waterways to the ocean.
When: Sunday 15th July – 2 pm for a 2:30 start
Where: Outside Arnolfini (16 Narrow Quay, BS1 4QA Bristol, United Kingdom)
