Beach Clean Up near Uruma-shi, Okinawa

15 to 20 lbs of plastic collected in less than an hour!
updates

Decided to clean up a small beach near my flat in Okinawa-shi. This is a little beach littered with plastic bottle caps and bottles, plastic bags, straws, cigarette butts, freezie-pop wrappers, and the like. Above the beach, there is a picnic area. Much of the garbage I collected had not yet entered the ocean. There were lots of chip wrappers and paper cups. I also found many plastic spoons and drinking straws still in the single-use wrapper. I collected a huge bag - about 15 to 20 lbs in less than an hour. I think this might become my new habit. My dog loves the beach and I liked doing something useful during our outing.
