Dive Against Debris Course and Survey SUCCESS!

Dive Against Debris DIVERS tackling marine debris one dive at a time...

Along with 8 amazing divers, including 7 course participants, the Dive Against Debris Course on May 19, 2018 was a HUGE success! We collected 55 kg of rubbish from a shallow dive site under the Grange jetty, including bicycles that were cut in halves and cloth material (that Peter suggests are from the coastal sand dunes), as well as heaps of fishing line, sinkers and tackle). We celebrated with a sunny day on our side with a BBQ at Adelaide Scuba, the hosts of our course and BBQ. We had beachcombers and friends collect bags of debris from the beach and nearby shores. Well done to EVERYONE that helped out and the new PADI Dive Against Debris divers that earned a Distinctive Specialty! Don't Let Your Dives Go To Waste 👏
